Baked Garlic Lemon Tilapia
Gina's Weight Watcher RecipesServings: 6 servings Total Time: 15 minutes Points+: 5 pts

Ingredients:
6 (6 oz each) tilapia filets
4 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
4 tsp fresh parsley
lemon pepper
light olive oil cooking spray

Directions:
    Preheat oven to 400°.

Melt butter on a low flame in a small sauce pan. Add garlic and saute on low for about 1 minute. Add the lemon juice and shut off flame.

Spray the bottom of a baking dish lightly with cooking spray. Place the fish on top and season with lemon pepper. Pour the lemon butter mixture on the fish and top with fresh parsley. Bake at 400° until cooked, about 15 minutes.

Tommy and I try to have fish or shrimp at least once a week....its a really quick dinner to do instead of picking up fast food...which we use to do ALL the time.  I hope you will try this recipe along with the FIESTA RICE and enjoy a quick delicious meal low in points.

    READING RECOMMENDATION

I was truly surprised by this book,  It was a quick read and very inspirational. Tommy and I had already started WW then I saw this book.

I did not realize she did so much in her career....

She lost the weight not because of what people expected her to look like but to have a  healthier life for herself.  Exactly why Tommy and I started...to live a healthier and longer life.

Its an easy read of 157 pages...

...and our 10 weeks results are

Tom lost an additional 2.6 pounds this week, bringing his total to 37.6 pounds...way to go!
I on the other hand....unfortunately didn't have a great week at all.  A slight gain of 1 pound....Now I could have not said anything here on our blog but I am trying to be accountable to myself and to anyone who read this blog.  As women we know our bodies tend to have a mind of their own...and I guess it was the week for mine.
I didn't eat anything different than I have been and as Tommy said he was surprised cause I pretty much eat the same things.
Now I could really let this bother me, I mean its my first gain in 10 weeks, but I wont.  I know I have done really good and have maintained a healthy weekly loss which is good to keeping the weight off permanently.  I do know I had a FEW more diet cokes this week than I have been, so I am determined this week to cut back on them (as I had been) and drink some more ice tea and flavored water.
So hopefully next week will be a better weigh in for me...but no matter what I will continue to do my best and stay on the road to "50 and fabulous"

    9 WEEK ChECK IN

It has been crazy busy this past week with basketball winding up and softball getting started...
but we do continue to keep our commitment and attend our weekly WW meetings...

So today we rushed to weigh in before we had to head over to the softball field for Jailene's game.

Tommy lost an additional 2.4 pounds this week to bring him to a grand total loss of 35 pounds!  Yup, you read it right....he only has 15 pounds to go til he reaches his goal...where he plans to maintain and starts a weight lifting program again.

I thought my week was bad, I did not track like I have been (did I mention it has been crazy week) but I actually did better than I thought..I lost an additional 4.4 pounds this past week pushing my total weight loss to 28 pounds in 9 weeks...can you believe it?  There are times I cant...and I cant imagine how his will all end for me...and if after I reach our fist goal Tommy set for us, will I continue to lose or just maintain?

the road to "50 and fabulous" can be a scary one......but I am glad to be doing it!
